WEATHER CONDITIONS - PICNIC DAY 2015

Temperature: About 87 degrees, humidity at 74%. It was a very hot day. There was a breeze at times, but it was very hot in the sun. Thanks to the Clairton Fire Department, we had three circulating fans on the stage in the pavilion, one large and two small. We also had a misting fan near the entrance to the Lodge to cool off the attendees waiting in the lunch line. Thank you, Clairton Fire Department, for helping with the heat.

ANOTHER NOTE FROM ANNA MARIE - PICNIC DAY 2015

A great big THANK YOU to Bob Schmelzer (CHS'59), Bill Hartill (CHS'58), Bud White (CHS'53), and Bill Kuskie (graduated from Elizabeth Forward!).They are at the CHS Reunion Picnic in the early morning hours every year and they do their work quietly. If some of you who rented tents from Family Tent Rental arrived at the picnic to find your tables and chairs already set up, you can probably thank these guys for that. They were at the picnic grounds before 7 a.m. working on setting many of these tables and chairs up. Family Tent Rental had put the tents up on Friday night and delivered the folded tables and chairs. These guys worked hard to "unfold" tables and chairs and set them up as best they could before everyone arrived. They also moved the large picnic tables around, moved some large picnic tables into the Lodge for the food line, set up all the tables around the outside of the Lodge for the dessert area and the Lions Club area. Then, at the end of the day, they worked to restore those picnic tables to their appropriate places and get some of the tables ready to go back to Family Tent Rental. So if you see them, acknowledge their efforts in doing their part to make our picnic a beautiful site to behold and a wonderful place to enjoy our picnic fun. Nice job, guys!
